ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The CSE Department was incepted with the vision of creating the most conducive environment for quality academic and research education. The department has an approved Research Centre under Anna University, Chennai and has strong industry institute partnership. The department has two PG programs and a UG program, The department also produced many high quality publications in Journals with impact factors.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This FDP aims to inculcate practical knowledge and experience the real time applications of Software Defined Networks (SDN). The traditional rigid networking is not suitable to meet the current needs of applications which require dynamism, intelligence and controllable networks when huge number of devices and systems get connected as in smart city, automated vehicles etc. There is an urge to redefine the concepts of networking to suit flexibility, automation and security which can be achieved through SDN. The participants will gain clear cut knowledge on the core concepts of SDN. They will be trained by the eminent academicians and industrial experts working currently in various domains of SDN like telecommunications (Ericsson – 5G), controllable switches and routers (CISCO – South Bound API), application interface (VMware – North bound API). It will widen their views and paves way for new innovations and scope for new research initiatives. The theme of this FDP is to upgrade the technical skills of recent trends in networking and thereby disseminating the gained knowledge to the student community in the right way and serve the society with many new inventions in this game changing field of the era.

Who can Attend?
The course is open to faculty members of CSE/IT /ECE/MCA / PG Scholars/ Research Scholars/ Industry persons. Faculty members belonging to other disciplines may also apply if this course would supplement their research. Admission will be offered subject to availability based on the AICTE guidelines.
Free boarding and lodging will be provided in the college hostel for the outstation participants. Traveling allowance (TA) will be reimbursed to the outstation participant as per AICTE norms.
